Candidates must be over 18 years old. This free course is open and suitable to new entrants to the hospitality sector. This course is full-time and will be conducted from Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 3.45pm and Friday 8.30am to 12.45pm, for 3 weeks. A good standard of both written and spoken English is essential to attend this course as Learners must complete both a written and practical assessment as part of the course. Applicants who come from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) must have a Stamp 4 or a Labour Market Permissions Letter to undertake a Training Course with Cork College of FET - Bishopstown Campus. The aim of the course is to provide learners with basic skills, related knowledge and aptitude to motivate them into becoming a more competent bartender including developing the skills for making cocktails and food service. Please note that the practical assessment will be video recorded as part of the assessment process, as this is a City & Guilds requirement.
