IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ Applicants who come from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) must hold a current Stamp 4 or a Labour Market Permissions Letter to undertake a Training Course with Cork College of FET - Bishopstown Campus A good standard of both written and spoken English is essential in order to successfully complete this Course and the associated assessments. Assessment Information: All assessments in relation to this Course will be carried out on site at the training location. This course is classroom based, and is a full-time day course, which runs Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m, and Friday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45pm for 2 weeks All applicants must hold a current Provisional C Licence before applying for this course. These can be obtained through the National Driver Licence Service at www.ndls.ie The following certification is available on the modules listed on this programme: • RTITB Vehicle Mounted Hydraulic Lorry loader The aim of the RTITB HIAB (often referred to as a Lorry Mounted Crane) operator training course(s) is to enable learners to operate trucks safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection of equipment and explain the causes of truck and load instability. Employability Statement: On successful completion of the course and the related HGV driving tests, learners will be well positioned to apply for Heavy Goods Vehicle driver positions. Also, on successful completion of the RTITB certificate in Lorry Crane applicants will be certified and able to source employment as a Lorry Crane operator in the workplace.
